Split Tongue Pier
Swarthmore College, Swarthmore, PA.
1980

 2’H x 2’W x 48’L. Timber.

A truncated pier extending 48’ across a creek, its end split like a forked tongue. The pier stops short of its goal, a cleft in a large rock formation, and the user’s progress is checked or stuttered.
